Tim Knight is expanding his consulting company.

He’s led broadcast journalism training workshops for thousands of working journalists at hundreds of workshops in more than a dozen countries (see Training Reviews and LinkedIn Profile).
Now he uses his unique writing, performing and interviewing expertise for general writing assignments and workshops for non-journalists on how to write and deliver power speeches and give great interview.
Since March 2012, he’s written Watching the Watchdog, a regular twice-a-week column on the media, for Huffington Post, Canada.
Knight has already won broadcasting’s highest honour, the Emmy, for “Outstanding Program Achievement” and the Sigma Delta Chi (U.S. Society of Professional Journalists) award for “Excellence in Televising News.”
In 2012 he won the Innoversity Angel award for “making the media more accessible to persons with disabilities, Aboriginal media professionals, people of colour, students and others.”
He’s written three books on communication, including Storytelling And The Anima Factor, now in its second edition.
He produced the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s flagship news program The National.
More to the point, for 10 years he was Executive Producer and lead trainer for CBC’s TV Journalism Training Department.
Since quitting CBC, he’s mostly focused on anchoring, writing, producing and directing documentaries.
But he’s never stopped coaching working broadcast journalists in storytelling, writing, performing, interviewing and journalistic ethics.
Tim Knight’s broadcast journalism workshops will, of course, continue.
But now, he’s also available for general writing assignments — while offering writing and performance coaching for anyone who needs to write and/or deliver great speeches or impress with a first class job interview.
